What To Bring
From Lomé, we head Northwest towards Kpalime. Our first stop is at an organic farm. We meet the owner and tour the farm with one of the farm workers. While we stroll in manioc fields, bamboo forests, and other local plants, we learn about organic farming techniques.
We pause to eat local delicacies made from the farm's organic products at lunchtime.
Leaving the farm, we pass Kpalime and arrive in a charming mountain village. In the classified Missahoe forest, we walk among agricultural fields and century-old trees. Our guide tells us how plants have been used traditionally for centuries.
On our way, we stop at a cute waterfall where a painter established his workshop. He shows us his art and how he uses pigments from plants to make beautiful pieces of art. We enjoy the waterfall in this wonderful place before returning to our vehicle and going back to Lomé.
